TOGAF ADM development approach\u00a0provides phases that are common to typical (digital) transformation plans, as TOGAF ADM fits to any kind of business transformation planning. The TOGAF ADM can be adapted and customized to any specific organizational need. TOGAF ADM and ArchiMate notation is perfect match, as the former provides the method and the latter provides the language for transformation development.<\/p>\n<h3>The Method<\/h3>\n<p>According to the TOGAF ADM, first a vision is to be defined for the transformation plan. Then business architecture is to be defined to identify e.g. customers, business services and business projects. Next application architecture is defined: application services and applications, as well as data flows between the applications. Next technology services and technologies are to be identified. Finally development work packages (projects) are to be identified and a roadmap to be finalized. The TOGAF ADM can also be used for service-based approach, in which development focuses on services instead of projects. Vision\n<ul>\n<li>Stakeholder, Driver, Assessment<\/li>\n<li>Goal, Outcome, Principle, Requirement, Constraint<\/li>\n<li>Meaning and Value<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>B. Business\n<ul>\n<li>Business Actor, Business Role, Business Service, Business Process and Business Function<\/li>\n<li>Business Event, Business Object (Concept), Contract, Representation<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>C. Application\n<ul>\n<li>Application Service, Application Component, Application Interface, Data Object<\/li>\n<li>Application Event, Application Function, ApplicationProcess<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>D. Opportunities and solutions (Programs &amp; Projects etc.)\n<ul>\n<li>Work Package, Deliverable,\u00a0Implementation Event<\/li>\n<li>Plateau (&#8220;transition&#8221;), Gap<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>F. Migration Planning (Roadmap)\n<ul>\n<li>Roadmap of development (projects etc.), illustration of Plateaus and related concepts such as Work Packages<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>ArchiMate concepts introduced above represent a subset of overall ArchiMate concepts. ArchiMate is relatively powerful language and notation, but there can be found a small subset of concepts and relations that are sufficient to most of the cases.<\/p>\n<p>(An illustrative model example is to be shown here.)<\/p>\n<h3>Reference Model<\/h3>\n<p>TOGAF ADM method (figure above) can be implemented on appropriate EA-tool (such as Sparx EA), see the reference implementation via this <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"http:\/\/www.hosiaisluoma.fi\/LEAF\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">link<\/a><\/span>.
